Kendrick Lamar Wins Four GRAMMYS But Denied AOTY

Kendrick Lamar was blocked by Bruno Mars for the Album of The Year at the GRAMMYS, but came away with four statuettes.  Will a rapper ever win an Album Of The Year GRAMMY?

“I don’t know what the guy has to do,” said one rap producer. “He is the favorite, it’s clear cut. He is well liked and he’s got the talent. I think they just don’t want rap to win the Album of the Year.”

Lamar won Best Rap Album for DAMN; Best Rap/Sung Performance for “Loyalty” featuring Rihanna; Best Rap Performance for “Humble,”  and Best Music Video for “Humble.”
